Happy [Belated] Thanksgiving
Preface: aside from the above picture, this post has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. I apologize to those of you who were excited for Thanksgiving-related Sufjan tracks (they probably exist) or something. Basically this is just a round-up of miscellaneous information and an excuse for me to post some terrific music videos from Stars and Snow Patrol.
First off, it’s that time of the year for the end-of-the-year best-of lists to start popping up, and Gorilla vs Bear is leading the way with his top 50 albums of the year. So head over to his site and peep that, and you can also check out his holiday mix while you’re there. As for mine, M3 Holla’day Edition will be dropping on Monday, or y’know Holiday Edition, to each their own. Also, my end of the year lists (Best Album, Best Single, Best Song, Best Music Video, etc.) will be posted, chock full of downloadable goodness, closer to the end of December.
Also, Information Leafblower polled a bunch of the big name blogs on the web and compiled a list of the Top 40 Bands In America (In 2005), which you should all check out (spoiler: Sufjan wins). The Canadians followed suit, releasing their Hottest 33 Bands In Canada (winner = Arcade Fire… obviously), and Take Your Medicine compiled a list of The UK’s Hottest 47 Acts (Girls Aloud one in a surprising-ass turn of events).
Lastly, I’ve had two requests to post videos on the site, so here are all of the Stars videos from Set Yourself On Fire, as well as Snow Patrol’s three videos from their most recent album, Final Straw. The Snow Patrol videos are great, especially the one for “Chocolate” and were all ripped directly from the iTunes Music Store way back when, so they’re all in sparkling high resolution.
Videos:
“Ageless Beauty” - Stars
“Reunion” - Stars
“Spitting Games” - Snow Patrol
“Chocolate” - Snow Patrol [highly recommended]
“Run” - Snow Patrol

Are you there?
I am not sure if this is true but …
