Radiohead: “Street Spirit” (Funkagenda Remix)

Here’s a little treat to make up for that apparent Postal Service hoax. This was originally part of the initial PS-writeup, but as the issue began to heat up I removed it so as to narrow the focus on the issue at hand. Regardless though, in the short time it was up it sparked interest and praise, so here it is again. Funkagenda, an up-and-coming house DJ and producer in the UK, has taken the Radiohead classic, transplanted a four-to-the-floor house beat onto it and danced it up with some synthesizer surges, all the while keeping the original vocals and that immediately recognizable descending guitar progression. I think he’s done a good job with the track, though the changes aren’t drastic, and according to his website he’s got remixes of Hard-Fi’s “Cash Machine” and Jose Gonzalez’s “Crosses” floating around out there somewhere, both of which I’d love to hear, so if anyone can point me in the right direction that’d be much appreciated as always.
