It does amaze me, having heard both the album proper and the intended b-sides from the same session, that some of the best stuff they've written got relegated. Mind-blowing. Also, the Lull mix is gorgeous, makes the tune for me. The original version didn't light my fire nearly the same. ‘Selfish Son’ is possibly the best thing Bloc Party have recorded to date.
