girl talk is so sick. he puts on one of the best shows ive seen. i wish there were more recordings of his live sets, theyre so good and always changing. anyone know of any besides Seatle??

man I am sick of whining people, and especially people whining about Ableton or other software.

Jessie: go buy a bunch of kleenex, sit on your record case in front of your decks and wipe you f*ing eyes. Just pretend like you are scratching your precious wax - you know back and forth, back and forth - and get those poor little eyes dry ya baby.

Gillis uses records and laptops, software and wax, and ingenuity of live show action like dancers and props, well and nakedness too. He’s a freak, and a genius, and deserves some respect. As much as any other DJ, record - CD - software or otherwise.

I’m pretty sick of everyone and their mother doing “live” ableton mashups.
Buy some turntables. Invest in some good wax. Get out there and do some beat juggling. Impress someone who knows anything about music.
I’m not trying to rain on the mash-up parade but it’s just becoming too trendy and people are losing respect for real DJs and are forgetting how much talent and effort is actually takes to spin records.
